Book Description
This is a series of commentaries on the New English Bible designed for use in schools and training colleges, and for the layman. It replaces the old Cambridge Bible for Schools. Each volume will comment on one book, or two or three short books, of the Bible, beginning with the New Testament, already published. In each the text will be given in full. Sections of text and commentary alternate, so that the reader does not have to keep two books open, or turn from one part of the book to the other, or refer to a commentary in small type at the foot of the page. Great care has been taken to see that the commentary is suitable for the student and the layman: there is no Greek or Hebrew, and no strings of biblical references, but the commentary does convey the latest and best scholarship. The general editors all have experience of teaching or examining in schools and working with adults. It is hoped to have the series complete in a few years. There will also be a general introductory volume, Understanding the New Testament, and a volume of maps and plates, The New Testament Illustrated.

Book Description
Newest volume in the acclaimed Pillar New Testament Commentary series The question that Paul set before the ancient church in Corinth -- Do you not recognize that Jesus Christ is in and among you? (2 Cor 13:5) -- remains a critical question for the church today. This commentary by Mark Seifrid seeks to hear Paul’s message afresh and communicate it to our time. Seifrid offers a unified reading of 2 Corinthians, which has often been regarded as a composite of excerpts and fragments. He argues that Paul’s message is directed at the “practical atheism” of the Corinthian church -- the hidden heresy that assumes God’s saving work in the world may be measured by outward standards of success and achievement. Like all of the Pillar volumes, Seifrid’s commentary on 2 Corinthians offers careful grammatical analysis and exegesis with clear pastoral application.

(Romans 3:1-31) 4. The Righteousness of Man Is Nothing to Be Proud of (Romans 4:1-25) 5. Together with God (Romans 5:1-21) 6. We Can No Longer Continue in Sin (Romans 6:1-23) 7. (Romans 9:1-33) The righteousness of God is transparent. God`s righteousness cannot be substituted by anything. That is because His righteousness is different from the righteousness of man. We need to know what God`s righteousness is, and we need to believe in it. God`s righteousness is fundamentally different from human righteousness. The righteousness of mankind is like a filthy rag, but the righteousness of God is like a brilliant pearl shining forever. God`s righteousness is the Truth that is absolutely needed by every sinner, transcending all ages. Our faith in the righteousness of God must be one that can be verified in the Word of Truth. Do you believe in the righteousness of God that is absolutely indispensable in these end times when the Lord`s return is imminent? Do you want to believe in the perfect righteousness of God within the Word of Truth and meet the Lord? Have you ever met God`s righteousness? You need to realize that God`s righteousness is found in Jesus who worked in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. You must meet Jesus, who has become God`s perfect righteousness, and you must believe in Him. The New Life Mission https://www.bjnewlife.org
