Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Erwachsenenbildung, Note: 1,3, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (Institut für Erziehungswissenschaft), Veranstaltung: (International-vergleichende) Forschungen zu Strukturen und Leistungen von Weiterbildungssystemen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Kontext einer Globalisierung, die sowohl auf der Mikro- als auch auf der Makroebene einen Einfluss auf die strukturelle Entwicklung von Beziehungen übt, hat der Erwerb von ‚Interkultureller Kompetenz‘ in den letzten Jahren bzw. Jahrzehnten eine besondere Bedeutung erfahren. Dieser wird inzwischen der Rang einer allgemeinen Schlüsselkompetenz zugesprochen. Ebenso vielfältig und uneinheitlich wie sich die Landschaft der Erwachsenenbildung und Bildungsträger in verschiedenen Staaten gestaltet, verhält es sich mit der Vielfalt des Umgangs mit dem Bedürfnis nach der Steigerung der eigenen interkulturellen Kompetenz. Hier zeigt sich deutlich die Schwierigkeit des internationalen Vergleichs. Vorausgehend soll ein grober Überblick der Diskussion um den wissenschaftlichen Umgang mit interkultureller Bildung und Pädagogik dazu dienen, einen differenzierten Blick auf die Thematik zu entwickeln. Sowohl der wissenschaftliche Blick auf das Zusammenleben verschiedener Kulturen als auch die öffentliche Diskussion unterliegt einem ständigen Wandel bzw. einer ständigen Weiterentwicklung. Diese soll in der vorliegenden Arbeit zunächst im Ansatz bezüglich des Diskurses in Deutschland sowie international nachvollzogen werden. Ergänzt wird dies durch eine kritische Diskussion der Begrifflichkeit und des Themenkomplexes ‚Kultur‘. Schließlich soll ein Einblick in die Thematik ‚Interkulturelle Kompetenz‘ helfen, die sehr verschiedenen Ansätze und Herangehensweisen in Deutschland (stellvertretend für die mitteleuropäischen Staaten) und Indien, welche im zweiten Teil der Arbeit beleuchtet werden, besser einordnen zu können. Schließlich soll versucht werden die beiden Herangehensweisen anhand von Richtlinien, die vom Rat der Europäischen Union verabschiedet wurden, zu vergleichen.

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit ist eingebettet in die Debatte über die Multikulturalität der Gesellschaft und soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten. In der Diplomarbeit zum Thema Interkulturelle Kompetenzen als Anforderung im internationalen Verhandeln gehe ich der Frage nach, welche Relevanz die interkulturellen Fähigkeiten für einen Erfolg auf dem internationalen Arbeitsmarkt haben. Ausgehend von der Hypothese, dass die interkulturellen Kompetenzen heutzutage zu den unentbehrlichen beruflichen Qualifikationen gehören, wird untersucht, inwiefern die zur Verfügung stehenden Methoden diese Fähigkeiten vermitteln können. Diese Problemstellung setzt voraus, dass die interkulturellen Kompetenzen erlernbar sind, was ebenso zu überprüfen ist. Damit die vielen Vorteile, die Globalisierung und Welthandel mit sich bringen, entsprechend genutzt werden können, soll den Menschen ein passendes Werkzeug an die Hand gegeben werden. Interkulturelle Kompetenzen werden heute immer häufiger als ein solches Werkzeug eingesetzt. In der interkulturellen Forschung wurden zahlreiche Methoden zur Förderung und zum Erwerb interkultureller Kompetenzen entwickelt, je nachdem, für welchen Bereich diese Schlüsselqualifikationen dienen sollten. Die interkulturelle Forschung beschäftigt sich unter anderem mit den linguistischen Aspekten (Fremdsprachenbereich), analysiert die Kompetenz aus der Sicht der Globalisierung und Multikulturalität (gesellschaftswissenschaftlicher Bereich) oder entwickelt Ansätze zur Förderung interkultureller Kompetenz durch Trainingsprogramme, Coaching, sowie durch ihre Anwendung in interkultureller Beratung und Konfliktlösung (Bereich der internationalen Personal- und Organisationsentwicklung). In dieser Arbeit soll untersucht werden, wie groß das Interesse an solchen Maßnahmen bei Personen ist, die fast täglich in internationale Handelsbeziehungen treten, und wie die Methoden zum Erwerb interkultureller Kompetenzen von ihnen bewertet werden. Interkulturelle Kompetenzen sollten aber nicht nur als Werkzeug für einen erfolgreichen Umgang mit Geschäftspartnern aus anderen Kulturkreisen betrachtet werden.
