To the dismay of the action figure collector, Hasbro has egregiously decimated the once renowned Marvel Legends Action Figure Line that ToyBiz worked so ineffably hard to build from the ground up. The history of the Marvel Legends Action Figure Line dates back to 2002. This covetable Marvel Legends Action Figure Line was ToyBiz's magnum opus and revolutionized the action figure industry. The advent of the Marvel Legends Action Figure Line rendered action figures of Marvel characters enhanced in every facet. Marvel action figure from this point forward were not only apart of a 1/12 scale line and stood around 6" tall instead of standing 5" tall, but now had extraordinary sculpts, 28-40 points of articulation, and sported high quality details, shadings, textures, paint applications, designs, and accessories. Face-off sets that featured 2 Marvel action figures which came bundled with a sturdy base and an aesthetically appealing background for said base retailed for $20. The intrinsic value the ToyBiz Marvel Legends action figure line offered devout Marvel fans and action figure collectors was unprecedented.
