Fukuzawa Yukichi’s Bourgeois Liberalism introduces readers to the East Asian Enlightenment led by Fukuzawa Yukichi, one of the most important figures in the intellectual history of modern Japan. This book thus offers a fresh view on Japanese society focussing on the role of comportment for group cohesiveness.
