A Student's Guide to Writing in East Asian Studies
Author: Michael Radich
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Academic writing
Languages : en
Pages : 141
Book Description
The Harvard Writing Project's disciplinary writing guides aim to introduce students to some of the basic practices and conventions of writing and conducting research in the various academic disciplines. It is usual in East Asian Studies to encounter all of the various types of writing that characterize the disciplinary approaches comprising the field. For our purposes, the conventions fall into two broad types. First, we have citation style, that is, the technical rules for how one cites sources in that field. The second, less codifiable aspect of writing conventions can be broadly called "the way people write," that is, the conventions of general writing style.
