The defendants in their answer admit only the writing and sending of the letter, and deny each and every other allegation of the complaint. The answer also sets up that by the agreement under which the goods were purchased, certain tonne of credit and payment were agreed upon, and that subsequently, with out their knowledge, these terms were by the principal parties materially altered, whereby they were exonerated.
