Father Faber's life was divided into two parts, widely distinct in character, by his conversion to the Catholic Faith. Moreover, Oxford was his home for many years, and the Object of his most affectionate reverence; and most of his friends were members of the Tractarian party, of which he became one of the most zealous adherents.
