Pasos para tener paz con Dios La mayorIa de las personas tienen una idea de lo que ellos creen que necesitan para ser aceptados ante Dios. DespuEs de todo, a quiEn le atrae la idea de existir en esta vida sin estar en buenos tErminos con Dios? Afortunadamente, es posible tener la certeza de estar en paz con Dios, pero la decisiOn tiene que hacerse durante esta vida. AquI hay algunos pasos tomados del libro de Dios, la Biblia: Primer Paso (Paso # 1) Entiende los propOsitos de Dios-paz y vida eterna. Dios te ama y desea que tU tengas una vida plena de paz y eterna. La Biblia dice... "En consecuencia, ya que hemos sido justificados mediante la fe, tenemos paz con Dios por medio de nuestro SeNor Jesucristo" Romanos 5:1 "Porque tanto amO Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigEnito, para que todo el que cree en El no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna." Juan 3:16 "Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y la tengan en abundancia." Juan 10:10 Por quE la mayorIa de la gente no tiene esta paz y vida plena (abundante) la cual Dios dispuso que tuviEramos? Paso Segundo (Paso # 2) Admite el problema- nuestro pecado y separaciOn. Dios no nos creO como robots para que automAticamente le amAramos y obedeciEramos. Dios nos dio libre albedrIo y la libertad de elegir. El primer hombre y la primera mujer decidieron desobedecer a Dios y hacer su propia voluntad. Y hasta el dIa de hoy todavIa nosotros tomamos la misma decisiOn. Esto resulta en la separaciOn de Dios. La Biblia dice... "Pues todos han pecado y estAn privados de la gloria de Dios." Romanos 3:23 "Porque la paga del pecado es muerte." Romanos 6:23 La gente ha intentado de muchas maneras acortar la distancia de esta brecha entre ellos y Dios. La Biblia dice... "Hay caminos que al hombre le parecen rectos, pero que acaban por ser caminos de muerte." Proverbios 14:12 "TU sabes que son muchas nuestras rebeliones; nuestros pecados nos acusan." IsaIas 59:12 NingUn puente alcanza a Dios... excepto uno. Tercer Paso (Paso 3)- Descubre el Puente de Dios - la cruz. Jesucristo muriO en la cruz y resucitO de la tumba. Aunque era el Hijo de Dios y sin pecado alguno, se convirtiO en humano, tomO nuestro lugar y pagO la penalidad de nuestros pecados, tendiendo un puente entre Dios y nosotros. La Biblia dice... "Porque hay un solo Dios y un solo mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre." 1Timoteo 2:5 "Cristo... el justo por los injustos, a fin de llevarlos a ustedes a Dios...sufriO la muerte en su cuerpo. 1 Pedro 3:18 "Pero Dios demuestra su amor por nosotros en esto: en que cuando todavIa Eramos pecadores, Cristo muriO por nosotros... mientras que la dAdiva de Dios es vida eterna en Cristo JesUs, nuestro SeNor." Romanos 5:8, 6:23 "Cristo muriO por nuestros pecados ... fue sepultado... resucitO al tercer dIa." 1 Corintios 15:3-4 Dios ha provisto el Unico camino para el perdOn de los pecados y para tener vida eterna. Pero cada persona debe de tomar una decisiOn. Cuarto Paso (Paso # 4)- Admite la verdad- recibe a Cristo Debemos de confiar en Jesucristo como nuestro Salvador y recibirle con una decisiOn personal. JesUs dice... "Mira que estoy a la puerta y llamo. Si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entrarE, y cenarE con El, y El conmigo." Apocalipsis 3:20 "Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida --le contestO JesUs--. Nadie llega al Padre sino por mI." Juan 14:6 La Biblia dice... "Mas a cuantos lo recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio el derecho de ser hijos de Dios." Juan 1:12 "El que cree en el Hijo tiene vida eterna." Juan 3:26 Cual es tu decisiOn? RecibirIas a Jesucristo ahora mismo y confiarIas en el solamente para el perdOn de tus pecados y para tener vida eterna? La Biblia dice que esa es la Unica manera para tener paz con Dios! - Admite tu necesidad- de que eres pecador y necesitas el perdOn de Dios. - EstA dispuesto a dejar de confiar en cualquier otra cosa para obtener vida eterna y confIa solamente en Cristo. - Cree que Jesucristo muriO por ti en la cruz, resucitO de la muerte, y es el Unico camino al cielo. - Acepta la oferta de JesUs para perdonarte tus pecados y llegar a tu vida como tu Salvador. QuizA quieras decirle unas palabras como las siguientes: "Querido JesUs, gracias por hacer posible que encontrara la paz con Dios! Creo que cuando moriste pagaste la penalidad de mis pecados. Ahora te recibo en mi vida como mi Salvador, para asI tener el perdOn y una vida eternal con Dios! Gracias por el regalo de la vida eterna!"

Most people have an idea of what they believe it will take to be accepted by God. After all, who likes the idea of exiting this life without being on good terms with him? Thankfully, it's possible to be certain that you've made peace with God, but the way must be chosen during this life. Here are the steps drawn from God's book, the Bible: Step 1. Understand God's purposes--peace and eternal life God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal, fulfilling life. The Bible says... "We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." John 10:10 Why don't most people have this peace and the fulfilling (abundant) life that God intended for us to have? Step 2. Admit the problem--our sin and separation God did not create us like robots to automatically love and mechanically obey him. God gave us a will and the freedom to choose. The first man and woman chose to disobey God and go their own willful way. And we still make that choice today. This results in separation from God. The Bible says... "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23 People have tried many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God. The Bible says... "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death." Proverbs 14:12 "Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God..." Isaiah 59:2 No bridge reaches God... except one. Step 3. Discover God's bridge--the cross Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. Though he was God's sinless Son, he became a human, took our place, and paid the penalty for our sin, bridging the gap between God and us. The Bible says... "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."1 Timothy 2:5 "Christ... suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God." 1 Peter 3:18 "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us... the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."Romans 5:8, 3:23 "Christ died for our sins... he was buried... he was raised on the third day." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 God has provided the only way to forgiveness of sin and eternal life. But each person must make a choice. Step 4. Embrace the truth--receive Christ We must trust Jesus Christ as our Savior and receive him by personal choice. Jesus says... "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 The Bible says... "To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12 "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life." John 3:36 What is your decision? Will you receive Jesus Christ right now and trust in him alone for forgiveness and eternal life? The Bible says that's the only way to find peace with God! Admit your need--that you are a sinner in need of God's forgiveness. Be willing to turn from trusting in anything else for eternal life and trust only in Christ. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross, came back to life from the grave, and is your only way to heaven. Accept Jesus' offer to forgive your sins and come into your life as your Savior. You may want to tell him in words like these: "Dear Jesus, thank you for making it possible for me to find peace with God! I believe that when you died you were paying the penalty for my sins. I now receive you into my life as my Savior, so I can have forgiveness and never-ending life from God! Thank you for the gift of eternal life!"
