The selected Syracuse Inner Harbor dredging plan would allow the New York State Canal Corporation to dredge the Syracuse Inner Harbor Terminal area, New York. This report presents the efforts of the sediment sampling analysis, existing conditions, planning, design, and environmental analysis for the dredging project at Onondaga Lake - Onondaga Creek Inner Harbor. The sponsor is the New York State Canal Corporation. The design includes deepening the Inner Harbor channel and a portion of the terminal slip area to a depth of 10 feet below Low Water Datum (LWD) and at a bottom width of 60 feet. The design also includes the rehabilitation of Upland Disposal Site UDS 5-19. The Upland Disposal Site will be used to hold dredging from the proposed Onondaga Creek Inner Harbor project. The Inner Harbor area extends from the New York State Canal Corporation Barge Canal Terminal on Onondaga Creek to the deeper water depths of Onondaga Lake.
