AMER BEE JOURNAL V35 1895

Book Description
Excerpt from American Bee Journal, 1895, Vol. 35: Devoted Exclusively to the Interests of Honey Producers The use of caps, or large boxes, in which the bees place their surplus, was one step towards progress; but the combs had to be broken to be removed from the box. The invention of the movable frame, and of the honey extractor, has afforded bee-keepers the means of taking out of the hives the combs loaded with honey, and of returning them to the bees when empty, without damaging them, or injuring, or killing a single bee. Every one of my readers undoubtedly uses movable-frame hives and honey-extractors, but, to some of them, the history of the invention of the honey-extractor will, no doubt, be interesting. Book Description
Excerpt from The American Bee Journal, 1883, Vol. 19: Devoted Exclusively to Progressive Bee Culture I have been deeply interested of late in the articles on obtaining a correct statistical report of bees, honey and beeswax in the United States. I most heartily wish it may be obtained, though I very much doubt that it will be during 1883. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
