The characteristic feature of my system is to enable the learner to master, with thoroughness, the standard sounds of the French Language; special attention being paid to the nasal and liquid sounds, without a correct pronunciation of which the student might as well undertake a trip to the Moon, as to try to make his French understood to those speaking the French Language. This method is divided into three parts; the first two being subdivided into short lessons. The first part gives the sound of each letter of the alphabet when alone, and also in the different combinations in which it occurs.
