Dr Taner Oc is Director of the Institute of Planning Studies at the University of Nottingham. He has taught at Middle East Technical University, The Queen's University, Belfast and the George Washington University. Steven Tiesdell is Lecturer in Planning (Urban Design) at the University of Nottingham having started his career with an architectural and planning practice in London.
