Book Description
About the book: During our school days, we were very fond of listening and telling the stories. The lane infront of our house was very spacious. During summer nights, after taking our meals, we the boys and even elders used to lay our beds on this lane to spend our nights. Before going to beds, we used to tell or listen stories. Among them I was the leading person. Once a story as told by me had ended after fifteen days. At the end, when the listeners came to know that the hero of the story was none other than me, they laughed and said- “We believed it to be a real happening. You have fooled us.” The reason why I brought it to the knowledge of readers is to make them know that, as to what a story is- “A Story is a bundle of false-hood made to believe it to be true and incensed with wishful mesmerizing.

Book Description
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER “It’s undeniably thrilling to find words for our strangest feelings…Koenig casts light into lonely corners of human experience…An enchanting book. “ —The Washington Post A truly original book in every sense of the word, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows poetically defines emotions that we all feel but don’t have the words to express—until now. Have you ever wondered about the lives of each person you pass on the street, realizing that everyone is the main character in their own story, each living a life as vivid and complex as your own? That feeling has a name: “sonder.” Or maybe you’ve watched a thunderstorm roll in and felt a primal hunger for disaster, hoping it would shake up your life. That’s called “lachesism.” Or you were looking through old photos and felt a pang of nostalgia for a time you’ve never actually experienced. That’s “anemoia.” If you’ve never heard of these terms before, that’s because they didn’t exist until John Koenig set out to fill the gaps in our language of emotion. The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows “creates beautiful new words that we need but do not yet have,” says John Green, bestselling author of The Fault in Our Stars. By turns poignant, relatable, and mind-bending, the definitions include whimsical etymologies drawn from languages around the world, interspersed with otherworldly collages and lyrical essays that explore forgotten corners of the human condition—from “astrophe,” the longing to explore beyond the planet Earth, to “zenosyne,” the sense that time keeps getting faster. The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is for anyone who enjoys a shift in perspective, pondering the ineffable feelings that make up our lives. With a gorgeous package and beautiful illustrations throughout, this is the perfect gift for creatives, word nerds, and human beings everywhere.

Book Description
When Clara was six, a feeling washed over her that she would never forget. It was a moment of epiphany for the young girl, the moment when she realized that every person she passed on the street had their own life, with their own problems to deal with. They were so much more than two-dimensional characters of her imagination; they were people, real people, with real lives, real families, and real problems. It wasn’t until she was much older that she learned this phenomena is known as sonder. The experience and the word would come to define her young life. As she grew into an observant and compassionate young woman, she too dealt with love, loss, heartbreak, and sorrow. But in taking the time to look beyond the surface, she also learned that the world is not as lonely as it once seemed.

Book Description
I wrote this book hoping it would discourage readers from succumbing to their darkest desires. I wanted to use myself as an example of what not to be, to share my struggles and empathize with those who have endured the same. It is meant to be a hedonistic elaboration of what it's like to navigate your emotions, combatting psychological setbacks and continue your craft simultaneously. It allows the reader to peek into my brain as much as I will allow, being honest with myself while struggling to actually have a sense of self. It is self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-sabotaging. As much self-pity as people may perceive, it spews more spitfire. It's meant to show the reality of recovery, how it is always in flux, how everyone's looks different, and we can get there together. It is written with raging intent to create some kind of literary riot and establish a platform for people who have been silenced. Only in my writing do I feel truly free. Free to share frustrations, industrial flaws, injustice and inequality. Liberated from my expectations, free to tell my truth, and indulge myself in the release of writing.
