Das Phänomen der Polemik tritt erstmals in der philosophischen und politischen Begriffs- und Streitkultur der Griechen auf. Jüdische und christliche Lehrer und Schriftsteller verwendeten das Insturmentarium der Polemikin ihren Auseinandersetzungen über Schriftauslegung, Lehrbildung und Formierung von Ethik.
