Book Description
Part I reveals that God is not a remote and austere religious figure and by living within His parameters (design) through His covenant, we can have a successful, intimate, vital, living relationship with Him. We are created in the image and likeness of God and that influences our responsibility to our Creator. God's love, forgiveness, fruit of the Spirit, and His covenant as seen in the armor of God leads us to see our identity in Christ. Part II explains the successful practical applications of these parameters in a person's daily life, including how stress, anxiety, unforgiveness, temptations, and our choice of foods affect our mind, will, emotions, and physical body. The book outlines practical solutions so we can live in optimal health in spirit, soul, and body. At the end of each chapter are key questions for discussion. Counselors and small group settings would benefit from this format.

Book Description
The National Health Service, described by Nigel Lawson as Britain's only 'national religion', has never been more popular. So why is the government so desperate to reform it? Last year, the Office of National Statistics reported higher public satisfaction with the NHS than at any time since its foundation. In a 2012 survey of developed countries, the UK showed the highest public support of its health system. Politicians can hardly be surprised then, when their plans to reforms are met with public dismay and professional fury. This year has seen one of the most bruising political battles ever fought over the future of the NHS. The twenty-two month fight to push the NHS and Social Care Act through parliament prompted the most widespread political campaign by doctors since Aneurin Bevan established the NHS in 1948. It cost the coalition government dearly and shredded the reputation of the Secretary of State for Health. So why did they do it? God Bless the NHS looks at the ideology behind the current reforms and the reasons why the government decided to take on the nation's most treasured institution. Roger Taylor looks equivocally at those who support and oppose the new system, and at the patchy history of attempts to reform the NHS and the likelihood of the success this time round. Finally, it addresses the political failure at the heart of the problem and the inevitable conflict when politics and medicine mix.

Focusing on what facilitates effective leadership, church growth, and retention, this book sets forth a process-oriented framework for understanding the dynamics of church growth and what works for and against it. The author, who is currently serving as the senior pastor of a local church in the City of Brampton, Ontario, for more than twenty years, highlights basic concepts and practices related to church leadership and growth. He considers questions such as: Why do some churches grow in numbers while others lag? What are the dynamic processes, strategies, and pathways that underlie effective leadership, church growth, and retention? How can the answers to these questions inform endeavors to increase and retain church membership? The author also asks if it’s true that God is in partnership with his leaders, why are so many of our local churches not growing but declining? The world the church was established in more than two thousand years ago is not the world we live in today. Rethink what it means to lead, grow, and retain membership in a changing world with this important book.

Book Description
This book explains how one perceives their own life. This perspective may be completely void of truth and full of misconceptions. You will discover how God intervenes in your life when you don't even realize it. Even Christians can be deceived. You will read how I was walking alone with insecurities not knowing God was using my insecurities to advance His will in my life. You will learn that the still small voice that spoke to me as a child I never hardened my heart to. This has helped me in every step of my life. I learned that God will use you if you have a handicap. The goal is to follow that still small voice. Sometimes when you are over confident about your own abilities it is very easy to trust in your understanding. This is using human wisdom instead of God's leading hand. I hope that this book will teach you to trust in the still small voice and let God direct your paths. Trust and obey for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.

Book Description
D. A. Carson's father was a pioneering church-planter and pastor in Quebec. But still, an ordinary pastor-except that he ministered during the decades that brought French Canada from the brutal challenges of persecution and imprisonment for Baptist ministers to spectacular growth and revival in the 1970s. It is a story, and an era, that few in the English-speaking world know anything about. But through Tom Carson's journals and written prayers, and the narrative and historical background supplied by his son, readers will be given a firsthand account of not only this trying time in North American church history, but of one pastor's life and times, dreams and disappointments. With words that will ring true for every person who has devoted themselves to the Lord's work, this unique book serves to remind readers that though the sacrifices of serving God are great, the sweetness of living a faithful, obedient life is greater still.

Book Description
Does God truly love all persons? Most Christians think the obvious answer to this question is, "Yes, of course he does!" Indeed, many Christians would agree that the very heart of the gospel is that God so loved the whole world that he gave his Son to make salvation available for every single person. This book shows that one of the most popular and resurgent theological movements in the contemporary evangelical church--namely, Calvinism--cannot coherently and consistently affirm this vital claim about the love of God. While some Calvinists forthrightly deny that God loves everyone, more commonly Calvinists attempt to affirm the love of God for all persons in terms that are compatible with their doctrines that Christ died only for the elect--those persons God has unconditionally chosen to save. This book shows that the Calvinist attempts to affirm God's love for all persons are fraught with severe philosophical and theological difficulties. Calvinism, then, should be rejected in favor of a theology that can forthrightly and consistently affirm the love of God for all persons. Nothing less is at stake than the very heart of the gospel.
