Book Description
In our postmodern, experience-oriented culture, people are longing for greater authenticity, integrity, and depth in their pastors and leaders. Board directors, church members, and staff alike are all eagerly seeking leaders who effectively integrate their spirituality and leadership. Pastors and executives, however, often struggle with knowing how to integrate their spiritual values and practices into their leadership and management roles. Designed for pastors, executives, administrators, managers, coordinators, and all who see themselves as leaders and who want to fulfill their God-given purpose, The Spirit-Led Leader addresses the critical fusion of spiritual life and leadership for those who not only want to see results, but who also desire to care just as deeply about who they are and how they lead as they do about what they produce and accomplish. Geoffrion creates a new vision for spiritual leadership as partly an art, partly a result of careful planning, and always a working of the grace of God

Book Description
I walked up the stairs shaking from fear. As I sat on the bed, tears were pouring down my face. I spoke, "I know you have been here for a long time, but it is time for you to go. This is my house, and I want to be able to live here within being in fear." After talking to the spirit, I ran downstairs, scared out of my mind. I sat on the couch, and I started hearing noises coming from the stairs; this was it; whether I knew it or not, I was going to have to face my darkness. A little girl lost in a world of desire for love, affection and validation. When, as a child, you feel you are missing something, you will spend your entire life trying to find it. Unfortunately, you don't find what you are looking for most of the time, rather everything except that finds YOU! This story is about my life, the good, the bad and the ugly. It takes you through many of my trials and tribulations. I tried my hardest to be transparent and raw. There were many sections that I thought long and hard about leaving out, in fear of being judged. However, I've learned there's no worse judgment than that of your own. From moving to New Jersey and being rushed to the hospital to lay in a cold bed alone, to living with and having to have full-blown conversations with a Spirit, to being addicted to sex and confusing it with love, to at times, hating the way my body looked; this book will definitely make you question some things, and hopefully open you up to things you never imagined. I am sure that those who know me will totally look at me differently after reading this book, and honestly, that is my hope. I take you through my journey of finding myself and facing my darkness. Many of us are fighting daily from within, and we have no clue how to let go so that we can expose our light. It is with my sincere hope and desire that from reading my story and journey, you can take away some of the tools I used to help move you towards your peace. I hope you are ready... let the journey begin!

Book Description
What will become of us in these trying times? How will we pass the time that we have on earth? In gorgeously rendered graphic form, Light in Dark Times invites readers to consider these questions by exploring the political catastrophes and moral disasters of the past and present, revealing issues that beg to be studied, understood, confronted, and resisted. A profound work of anthropology and art, this book is for anyone yearning to understand the darkness and hoping to hold onto the light. It is a powerful story of encounters with writers, philosophers, activists, and anthropologists whose words are as meaningful today as they were during the times in which they were written. This book is at once a lament over the darkness of our times, an affirmation of the value of knowledge and introspection, and a consideration of truth, lies, and the dangers of the trivial. In a time when many of us struggle with the feeling that we cannot do enough to change the course of the future, this book is a call to action, asking us to envision and create an alternative world from the one in which we now live. Light in Dark Times is beautiful to look at and to hold – an exquisite work of art that is lively, informative, enlightening, deeply moving, and inspiring.

Book Description
"A cross between Carry On, Warrior and Everybody's Got Something, The Other Side of Yet is a powerful memoir about loss, faith, and the power of the human spirit. Starting her professional career as a producer at America's Most Wanted, Michelle Hord was no stranger to tragedy. But when the unimaginable happened in her own family, Michelle's entire life crashed down around her. As she sought out a new blueprint for how to live in this new world, The Book of Job became her anchor, with one verse in particular standing out: "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him" Job 13:15 King James Version (KJV). For Michelle, the concept of that 'yet' became an essential part of her life--one shaped by loss, yet filled with hope. This powerful memoir takes readers on a journey about creating a life of goodness and grace in the face of loss, injustice, or hardship. Michelle isn't interested in prosecuting her marriage, dwelling on what happened to her daughter, or pointing to God as her only salvation. In the pages of The Other Side of Yet, she invites readers to share not just her story, but to draw inspiration from her strength, her will to create goodness, and her defiant faith"--

Book Description
Wendell Baerry has become ''mad'' at contemporary society. Gleaned from various collections of this amazing American voice, the poems take the shape of manifestos, insults, and Whitmanic ravings that are often funny in spite of themselves. The whole is a wonderful testimony to the power of humor to bring even the most terrible consequences into an otherwise unobtainable focus.

Book Description
Gathering the Light is a collection of articles, reflections and poetry. Many of the articles have appeared in various Catholic publications. It is set up in such a way that it can be used for personal reflection, book studies and support groups. We have been using a reflection from this collection every time we meet as the Facing Our Immortality cancer support group. In the midst of serious illness, or perhaps because of it, the desire to know the deep things of God becomes even more active and especially efficacious. The format of Gathering the Light offers focal points of light meant to help us see what perhaps we have not seen before. Each article, with a few exceptions, hovers around one-thousand words. It is very manageable for busy persons trying to go a little deeper in their relationship with God. At the end, some questions for reflection are provided if needed.
