Book Description
Do you remember singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children" in Sabbath School as a young child? "... Red and yellow, black and white, all are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world." Jesus loves everyone, but as His followers, we often struggle to follow His example. In A Third Great Disappointment for the Remnant? Pastor Birch presents his research findings on race relations, the Millerite movement, slavery, the Civil War, segregation, the evangelical movement, and much more, addressing how these events have impacted and shaped the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He goes on to examine current race relations in the Adventist Church and the creation of ethnic conferences, and warns against a final great disappointment of lost souls at Christ's second coming if we do not reconcile ourselves with each other and finish the work as one unified body. With a passion for racial and ethnic reconciliation, Birch offers recommendations on how to strengthen the Adventist Church through understanding and healing. We are precious in God's sight, but we should also be precious in each other's sight.

We are precious in God's sight; we should also be precious in each other's sight. Now retired from church employment, Canute Birch, Ph.D., previously served as a senior pastor for many years in the Greater New York Conference in Manhasset, New York. In 2005, Dr. Birch and his supportive wife relocated their family to the state of Tennessee in order to take advantage of more easily accessible Seventh-day Adventist education for their children. Since then, they have held membership in the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. For numerous years, Dr. Birch spearheaded a multiracial/ multiethnic group of passionate, mixed-generation Adventist reconcilers to promote reconciliation, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in southeast Tennessee. His desire is summed up in the yearning observed in Christ's prayer and dream for His church-"that they may all be one." Dr. Birch has also served as an adjunct assistant professor of New Testament studies in the School of Religion at Southern Adventist University. During the summer of 2010, he "sensed an irresistible divine calling" to write this book while engaged in daily devotion. He hopes that readers will develop a passion for reconciliation within the Seventh-day Adventist Church as well as in Christendom and help to realize this divine ideal.

Book Description
More than 25 years ago society was introduced to William Ellis Foy. Foy was an African-American minister of the nineteenth century whom historical records had generally overlooked. The popular book The Unknown Prophet demonstrated that Foy received powerful revelations from God about coming tribulation, judgment, and heaven awaiting those who were faithful to God. Foy’s message was straightforward—be faithful, because Jesus is coming again! The groundbreaking research in The Unknown Prophet did much to clear up misconceptions and set the record straight about William Foy. It told the largely unknown story of this sensitive young man of color. Furthermore, he faced incredible trials and struggles yet faithfully fulfilled his time-specific prophetic commission during the height of the Millerite movement and went on to maintain a quiet and productive ministry until his death in the late 1800s. William Foy’s story, his ministry and message, still speaks today. This second edition is the response to a desire for an updated version, providing hope and encouragement for the twenty-first-century reader. It contains new and valuable documents and images, including the only known photo of William Foy’s son. Your faith will be enriched as you read these pages.

Book Description
Every now and then a new book is released and people stand in long lines with great anticipation, some even camp outside the bookstore overnight waiting to purchase a copy. Television news sometimes captures the pictures of people pushing and shoving into the stores to get their hands on that book, and within a few days they have read every line. As I look at these lines of people, I have often thought, "Now what book could get me so excited that I would stand in line for hours to get a copy and then lose sleep trying to read every word?" It would have to be a book filled with essential, long lasting, lifesaving information. Its author has to be lovable and all-knowing and the information has to be crucial to my existence now and in the future. Then the thought flashes through my mind, there is such a book available free, for the asking, but there are no long lines of eager excited people waiting to get their hands on it. Is it possible that most people really do not know what is in this book? This book is none other than the Bible. The Bible is the most important book that has been written and the most important book that we will ever read. This book reveals the history of God's plan of redemption.
