A Celebration of Volunteers

April marks National Volunteer Week, a time when Cleveland Reads acknowledges the many literacy tutors in Greater Cleveland.  This year marks the 11th Annual Volunteer Reception.  The event will allow Cleveland Reads and partnering literacy agencies to honor and recognize the commitment and dedication of their volunteers while enjoying delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts.

Cleveland Reads will host the annual reception at the East Mount Zion Baptist Church on April 17th, 2008 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  The event will be hosted by Dan Moulthrop, host of the Sound of Ideas on WCPN, and will feature Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Connie Schultz as the keynote speaker.  The event will conclude by honoring the Volunteer of the Year.

Free or discounted tickets are available for literacy tutors through Literacy Network programs.  Tickets for the general public are available at $15/ticket.   Please RSVP by April 10, 2008.

For more information or to purchase tickets contact Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Frigolette at 216-436-2116.
