Cleveland Reads is celebrating another year of providing valuable literacy services to the community!  We invite you to join us for A Toast to Literacy at the Seventh Annual Reds, Whites, and Brews.

What

  • Reds, Whites & Brews takes you on a tour of the world as you taste wines and beers from various regions and enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres.  The event is business casual and provides an opportunity to network as you make your way to the various tasting stations and enjoy the silent auction.  Nonalcoholic beverages are also available.
  • Last year’s event was a huge success with over 400 attendees and 39 companies that came together to lend their support to the importance of literacy.

When

  • Saturday, July 19, 2008, 7:00 – 10:30 p.m.

Where

  • Shoreby Club (40 Shoreby Drive, Bratenahl, OH 44108)
  • Complimentary Valet Service is provided

Why

  • Because literacy is fundamental for the region’s health and prosperity.  Each year, hundreds of local children fail the state reading proficiency exams and fall further behind their classmates.  At the same time, many of the chronically unemployed adults in our community cannot retain a stable job because they lack basic reading skills.  Literacy is the basic building block for success in both school and the workforce and Cleveland Reads needs your support to help improve youth, adult, and family literacy in Greater Cleveland.
